{"id":168,"date":"2009-07-03T16:36:19","date_gmt":"2009-07-03T21:36:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tifosi.hooverdam.net\/?p=168"},"modified":"2010-11-18T16:39:21","modified_gmt":"2010-11-18T21:39:21","slug":"alesunds-starting-to-happen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tifosi.hooverdam.net\/?p=168","title":{"rendered":"\u00c5lesund&#8217;s starting to happen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ULTRA PEANUT&#8217;S LIST OF NOTABLE THINGS THAT HAPPENED THE LAST FEW DAYS<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Got on a plane for Frankfurt, then one for Oslo, then one for \u00c5lesund, which is small enough they have stair trucks (&#8220;you&#8217;re gonna get hop-ons&#8221;)<\/li>\n<li>Saw a little kid in the Oslo airport in a 2006 USMNT jersey<\/li>\n<li>Accidentally walked into the men&#8217;s room in the Oslo airport<\/li>\n<li>Hey, look, transatlantic travel will do that to you, okay?<\/li>\n<li>Had a cookout on the side of a mountain with the Revs&#8217; old GK and some of his pals<\/li>\n<li>Walked around town buying candy<\/li>\n<li>Ate pizza that was, for some reason, served St. Louis style<\/li>\n<li>Bought a bunch of souvenirs<\/li>\n<li>Repeatedly tried to explain why, exactly, two dumb Americans would travel to an obscure part of Norway<\/li>\n<li>I understand the sun sets here at some point, but I haven&#8217;t really seen it<\/li>\n<li>Ate huckleberries right off the bushes<\/li>\n<li>Ran barefoot across another team&#8217;s field (I&#8217;m up to 4 now)<\/li>\n<li>Hiked around the perimeter of a mountain, coming out of the woods into the parking lot of a 3rd division club, where a bunch of kids were playing a pickup game of cricket<\/li>\n<li>Got taken back into town by a suspicious looking orange party van<\/li>\n<li>Did I mention the van was driven by one of the extras from Metalocalypse?<\/li>\n<li>Learned that Denmark is apparently the Canada of Norway<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"graphics\/centerline.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"my toes\"\/><br \/>\n<small>Team color pedicures are crucial<\/small><\/p>\n<p>More at some point, along with full photo set.
